New Year, New Hair

December 17, 2009

Well, it’s that time of year again: The time when we reflect on the mistakes of the past year and resolve how to change it in the up-coming one. We’ve all made a million resolutions: this year, I will lose 20 pounds, quit smoking, go to the gym, save money, etc. They are all things that we should do to make our lives better. But what about our hair?

At the salon, what we tend to see a lot of is ladies with long hair that do nothing other than pull it back into a ponytail or bun. Are you one of those? Ask yourself, if I’m not going to bother to ever blow-dry and style my mane, why am I hanging on to it?

Let’s face it, great-looking long hair take commitment. For a fantastic look, you MUST add product, dry and style. Not to mention the amount of extra time it takes to wash and condition over your shorter-haired counterparts. So, in light of this time of year, perhaps it maybe time to free yourself of your extra tresses and extra work and consider a lower-maintenance, lighter, shorter do.

Length not an issue? Maybe you require a new colour or tone to brighten your 2010! Think how brand-new you’ll feel in hot new-year colour trends. The perfect start to a great year ahead.

Got some of your own ideas for how to refresh your mane for the New Year? We’d love to hear them. In the meantime, if you have any length or colour questions, know that we’re here, ready, willing and able to help you out with anything you may need!
